Lighten Up Livingston 2007
The 2007 Lighten Up Livingston ended on April 20th and final assessments wrapped up on April 26th. There were initially 113 participants and 12 teams. There were 50 participants who completed all parts of the contest that were required to win the individual or team awards. There was a banquet held Monday, May 14th for all Lighten Up Livingston Participants. Sheriff Willie Graves provided the Sheriff’s Training Center for the banquet location as well as cooked a wonderful dinner for all participants.
Of the 50 participants, 33 lost weight totaling 220 pounds lost together. 20 participants lost body fat with a total of 55% lost. 26 individuals lowered their blood pressure, 21 lowered their resting heart rate, and 33 participants improved their flexibility.
Eileen and Lynn Woodward from the Spectrum Stars team were our two individuals who exercised the most and were recognized for their great individual results. Eileen Woodward had 44.5 exercise points total, lost 12 pounds, 3.4% body fat, lowered her blood pressure, and improved her flexibility. Lynn Woodward finished the challenge with 41 exercise points, lost 10 pounds, 9.4 % body fat, and also lowered blood pressure and improved flexibility. Eileen and Lynn received a free massage from the Massage Therapy Centre in Denham Springs, a home exercise kit, compliments of our sponsor Wal-Mart, and a pedometer. 
The overall individual winner was Katrina Barlow from the Spectrum Won Team. Katrina finished the contest with 46 exercise points. She lost 14 pounds and 1.8 % body fat. She improved her flexibility and lowered her blood pressure and resting heart rate.
Katrina received a winner’s plaque, a free wellness consultation from SB Wellness Group, a Yoga Mat and DVD compliments of contest sponsor Wal-Mart.
And in 4th place in the team challenge was Team Calvary Crew with 8 of their 10 participants completed the entire 12-week challenge. They lost a total of 26 pounds, 2.5 percent body fat, had 6 of the 8 improve their flexibility., 5 improved blood pressure, and 3 improved their resting heart rate. They had a total of 45.4 exercise points and a total score of 97.
In 3rd Place was Livingston Medical Center Team with 7 participants completing the contest. They lost a total of 35 pounds and 11.9% body fat. Four participants improved their flexibility, 3 improved their blood pressure, and 3 improved their resting heart rate. They had a total of 94.65 exercise points and an overall team score of 244. They received a team plaque and each received a free wellness consultation from SB Wellness Group.
Our 2nd Place team was Curves of Livingston with 8 total participants. All 8 of the team members completed the contest. They had a total loss of 21 pounds and 5.8 % body fat. Seven participants improved their flexibility, 2 lowered their blood pressure, and 5 lowered their resting heart rate. They had an amazing 204 exercise points and a total of 309.81 points. Our second place winners also received a plaque and each a free wellness consultation from SB Wellness Group.
And our winners were the Spectrum Stars Team with 9 team members all completing the contest. They lost a total of 52 pounds and 20.2% body fat. They had 7 people improve their flexibility, 6 of the 9 lowered their blood pressure and 3 lowered their resting heart rate. They had 237.7 exercise points and a total score of 396. They received a plaque, a free wellness consultation from SB Wellness Group, and each got a MP3 player from our sponsor Wal-Mart.
